The surly and rebellious teenager that was Fairlie Sawmill has grown up and moved out of it's parents house. It has matured into a surly, rebellious man. Welcome to the website of the business formerly known as Fairlie Sawmill - we still craft the best quality unique furniture to our customer's designs, using the same native hardwoods. All that's changed is the name. Feel free to explore our new bachelor pad and find out what we can offer you.

Built to order – unique hardwood furniture.

Built to order – unique hardwood furniture

It's much easier and more profitable for furniture makers to have their designs mass produced in Eastern Europe using foreign timber. Any furniture bought from Fairlie Furniture Works is handmade on-site using native hardwoods. And more importantly, built to order. We don't stock anything, we have no catalogue. Everything is a uniquely built one off, designed to fit the specific requirements of your home, garden or place of work.

If anyone can build it, we can build it. And make it beautiful. Building custom furniture means that we constantly have to overcome a myriad of design, architectural and finishing challenges to deliver exactly what you want. We've built up a considerable body of expertise over the years.

“Your craftsmen scared my Pitbull.” Shocked Customer.

Missionary Impossible

Missionary Impossible

Our craftsmen are no Orlando Blooms or Brad Pitts, that's for sure. They are some of the best in the country though, and the work they do is true beauty. You are welcome to come into the new showroom to see for yourself. With the wood fired stove, proper facilities and free tea and coffee, you can discuss your requirements in comfort – well away from the sawdust and noise.
